Web Relaunch & Strategic Messaging Standards | Olin College of Engineering was founded in 1997 as both a college and a cause. In less than 30 years and with fewer than 400 students, Olin is recognized as one of the most influential, innovative, and competitive engineering schools in the world.

The challenge Olin’s next chapter is built on a vision of “Engineering for Everyone” in which the engineering profession creates a just and flourishing world and where talented people, regardless of their backgrounds, feel welcome and can succeed.

The challenge for Olin: embody these ideals in a new website, and help members of the Olin community create messaging aligned with the vision.

The solution A new website and new messaging standards are helping Olin transition to a future focused on “Engineering for Everyone.”

Working with Olin leadership – from the president to administrators to key faculty to students – I conducted interviews and wrote key sections of the new Olin.edu.

As an organization that is always learning and evolving, it’s important that members of the Olin community embrace and communicate the “Engineering for Everyone” vision.

I created a strategic messaging guide that explains the vision and offers key messages, proof points, and story lines to help write more effectively about Engineering for Everyone.
